Vista Square Elementary School is one of the oldest schools in the district. The school lies on the west side of Chula Vista. Each of the four main buildings contains four classrooms. There are 15 more classrooms located in relocatables. Vista Square has 3 Mild Moderate SDC classes and a Resource Specialist Program (RSP). Vista Square has a full-time nurse, full time psychologist, full time behavior specialist, part-time social worker, and 2 full-time speech and language specialists. The school site also houses the Davila Day School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with a total of 40+ students who are mainstreamed into the Vista Square program. 


Vista Square es una de las escuelas más antiguas en el distrito escolar. La escuela está ubicada del lado oeste de Chula Vista. Los cuatro edificios principales contienen cuatro salones cada uno. Hay 15 salones más en unidades reubicables. Vista Square tiene 3 salónes de Educación Especial (SDC) en el nivel medio-moderado y contamos también con un Programa de Recursos Especializados (RSP). Nuestra escuela cuenta con enfermero, psicóloga, dos especialistas de comportamiento,  dos especialistas de lenguaje e idioma todos de tiempo completo y una trabajadora social de medio tiempo. Nuestra escuela tambien es sede de Davila Day School para ninos con Dificultades Auditivas con un total de mas de 40 estudiantes con integración a los programas de Vista Square.

Our Mission

The school mission at Vista Square is to:

  • Provide a wide variety of educational and life experiences in a safe environment encouraging active involvement and success for each child
  • Teach and encourage students to respect the rights and properties of others and be responsible for their own actions
  • Encourage full participation by students, parents, community, and staff in school wide activities
  • Continue an academically oriented, supportive environment which fosters individual development of a positive self-image
  • Provide sequential curriculum and instructional methods which encourage students to reach their ever-increasing learning potential

Nuestra misión en Vista Square es:

  • Proveer una variedad de experiencias educacionales y vivenciales en un medio ambiente seguro que motive la intervención activa y éxito para cada estudiante
  • Ensenar y alentar a los estudiantes a respetar los derechos y propiedades de los demás y a ser responsables de sus propios actos y desiciones.
  • Fomentar la patricipación total de estudiantes, padres y madres de familia, comunidad y personal en las actividades escolares. 
  • Crear un medio ambiente orientado por la educación y el apoyo para el desarrollo individual de un buen autoestima. 
  • Proveer un plan de estudios con métodos secuenciales e instruccionales con el objetivo de motivar a nuestros estudiantes a alcanzar su potencial de aprendizaje contínuo.
